He also broke up three passes, notched three quarterback hurries and blocked a kick, helping him earn the title as Michigan's Spe- cial Teams Player of the Year. 14. CAMERON MCGRONE Redshirt Freshman, LB McGrone took a huge step up this season, becoming a starter following an injury and winding up fifth on the team in tackles with 66. He was fourth among Michigan's defend- ers with 9.5 tackles for loss and fifth with four sacks. He also notched five quarterback hurries, one pass broken up and one forced fumble. 15. CARLO KEMP Senior, DT Another captain, Kemp battled through injury late in the season and gave Michigan one of its few veteran defensive tackles. His 40 tackles in- cluded two sacks among 4.5 tackles for loss, and he added one fumble recovery. 16. ZACH CHARBONNET Freshman, RB Charbonnet started his Michigan career in strong fashion, leading the Wolverines in rushing (149 carries for 726 yards and 11 touchdowns) and earning Offensive Rookie of the Year honors from U-M. He averaged 4.9 yards per try, and wound up a third-team All-Big Ten performer by conference media. 17. DONOVAN PEOPLES-JONES Junior, WR Peoples-Jones finished third on the team in receiving, catching 34 passes for 438 yards and six touchdowns. He also averaged 7.2 yards per try on 24 punt returns. He has declared his intentions of entering the NFL Draft in the spring. 18. JOSH METELLUS Senior, S Metellus earned third-team all- conference notice from the league's media, following a senior season in which he wound up third on the squad in tackles, with 74. He made a pair of interceptions, broke up five passes, recovered a fumble and deliv- ered four tackles for loss in Brown's defense. 19. JORDAN GLASGOW Senior, LB Glasgow wound up second on the defense this season with 89 tackles, providing five sacks among seven stops for loss. He finished third on the team in quarterback takedowns and added four quarterback hurries, two passes broken up, a fumble re- covery and one blocked kick. 20. BRAD HAWKINS Junior, S Hawkins became Michigan's Most Improved Player of the Year on de- fense, winding up sixth on the team with 53 tackles. He broke up one pass this year while playing in 11 games. 21. JALEN MAYFIELD Redshirt Freshman, OT Mayfield broke through as Michi- gan's fifth offensive lineman this sea- son, performing all year at the right tackle spot. He'll be the lone return- ing starter for Gattis' offensive line next season. 22. HASSAN HASKINS Redshirt Freshman, RB U-M's other rookie running back rushed 121 times for 622 yards and four touchdowns this season. Haskins rushed for 149 yards against Notre Dame in his first career start, one of two 100-yard games for the second-year Wolverine. 23. NICK EUBANKS Redshirt Junior, TE Eubanks led Michigan's tight ends in receiving this season, pulling in 25 passes for 243 yards and four touchdowns. His scoring receptions included one against Alabama in the Citrus Bowl. 24. SEAN MCKEON Senior, TE McKeon battled injury for a stretch of his final season, but wound up performing in 10 games. He caught 13 passes for 235 yards (18.1 aver- age) and made a pair of touchdown grabs. 25. GILES JACKSON Freshman, WR Jackson exploded for a 97-yard touchdown on a kickoff return at Maryland and earned Special Teams Rookie of the Year honors. He aver- aged 25.9 yards per return on 24 tries, caught nine passes for 142 yards and a touchdown, and rushed for 69 yards and a score. ❑ Fifth-year senior linebacker Jordan Glasgow (No. 29) and junior defensive end Kwity Paye (No. 19) were two of the most impactful defenders this year for the Wolverines.
