degrees in business management and labor studies and employment relations. I want to be a human resource director for a big organization and help with business problems. I want to be in business eventually, but while Im in my athletic prime, Ill keep wrestling. While doing that, I want to get experience in dealing with people. Wright also said he would enjoy a career in motivational speaking. Or if the right coaching position were offered, he would consider that too, just as former teammate Frank Molinaro did after graduation. Molinaro is now an assistant at Rutgers. If theres a coaching opportunity where somebody wants to bring me into a big-time program, then thats not out of the question, Wright said. I have a few different avenues, different things that I could do. I want to keep all of them open and not just settle on one right now just take it one step at a time. As hard as Wright has worked on the mat, hes also prepared himself for life after wrestling by focusing on the classroom. Even if a coaching gig doesnt open or international freestyle competition doesnt work out, Wrights confident hell be successful in HR or business. He took 12 credits during the fall semester, including an 8 a.m. class and a three-hour evening class. Hes only taking three credits in the spring, which is perfectly normal for a fifthyear student-athlete who is in his final semester. He also holds an internship with Minitab, a State College-based software company. Hes trying his best to prepare himself for life after wrestling, when that day finally comes. He wants to be sure he has plenty of options so he can support his wife and the baby thats on the way. And if he thought his arms were tired after that Kilgore match, hell be responsible for an even bigger load, metaphorically of course, once his baby is born in a few months. Especially considering the goals Wright already has planned. Its a boy, he laughed, a 2033 national champion. WEIGHT-BY-WEIGHT 125 NICO MEGALUDIS 165 DAVID TAYLOR So., No. 4 seed, 28-4 overall - All-American Jr., No. 2 seed, 30-2 overall - All-American 1ST RD 2ND RD QTRS SEMIS FINAL 1ST RD 2ND RD QTRS SEMIS FINAL W W W W L Kevon Powell, Ohio, 17-2 TF (6:20) Christian Cullinan, Central Michigan, 5-2 dec.
