MARCH 2020 ■ 3 Changes In The Wolfpacker Over the almost 40-year history of The Wolfpacker (we will celebrate that birthday this September), the magazine has undergone many changes, and this issue marks another step in the publica- tion's evolution. This year, the Wolfpack Club ended its policy of allowing advertising in The Wolf- packer to count as a member's donation. The result of that decision is a smaller magazine with much less advertising. We are also changing the editorial di- rection of the magazine, with more articles telling the unique stories of NC State's student-athletes your donations help sup- port and less focus on individual teams. In this issue, read how Andy Stewart, the father and youth swimming coach of Wolfpack swimmer Coleman Stewart, refused to let his son give up the sport when the two had the normal dad-teen- ager disagreements. The pair got through their issues, and Coleman entered his senior season as a two-time national champion and the reigning ACC Men's Swimmer of the Year. Learn how sophomore women's bas- ketball center Elissa Cunane lives up to her nickname "Big Smile," and how junior big man D.J. Funderburk is ma- turing into a valuable contributor for the men's basketball team. We are retaining the Tracking The Pack notes section, the Wolfpacker Spotlights, Pack Picture (this issue's is memorable), and NC State historian Tim Peeler's Pack Past feature and column.
