F O O T B A L L R E C R U I T I N G PSU focuses on 2021 targets Nittany Lions looking to bolster offensive line, secondary with next class For daily and breaking news updates on Penn State football recruiting, visit bwi.rivals.com. | W ith only two players currently com- mitted to Penn State's Class of 2021, there's no shortage of prospects for fans to follow this spring and into the summer. Just like the past few years, the Nittany Lions are in the mix with many of the Mid-At- lantic's top prospects, as well as a few four-star players from outside of the region. The class is projected to number between 20 and 22 players, although transfers in the coming months could impact that total. Below is a breakdown of the sta6's pri- ority prospects heading into the spring. This list is not just based o6 of talent, but also who I think could realistically end up signing with the Lions in December. RB AMARI DANIELS Following Evan Pryor's announcement in early March that he was focused on Georgia, North Carolina and Ohio State, Daniels may now be someone to watch for an o7cial visit. The Miami native has yet to visit Penn State, but we said the same about Caziah Holmes and Keyvone Lee at this time last year. Daniels announced on Feb. 27 that Penn State, Georgia, Nebraska and Texas A&M were his top four schools. WR JALIL FAROOQ Farooq has taken three visits to Penn State, two of which have been since October. He wants to have his recruitment wrapped up in the summer, so his relationship with new wide receivers coach Taylor Stubble5eld will have a big impact on Penn State's chances moving forward. Both Ohio State and LSU are believed to be high on his list. Maryland has also come into the mix in recent months. RB TREVEYON HENDERSON The Virginia Gatorade Player of the Year, Henderson visited Penn State for the 5rst time in No- vember. He's expected to visit Clemson, Florida, Ohio State and Oklahoma before the end of April, while LSU, Michigan and Texas are planning o7cial visits with him between April and June. I get the feeling O F F E N S E TOP TACKLE Tengwall, the na- tion's fifth-ranked offensive tackle, has already taken 10 visits to Univer- sity Park. Photo courtesy of Ri- vals.com
