www.BLUEANDGOLD.com MAY 2020 11 CHARTING THE IRISH WHAT ARE THE ODDS? Much uncertainty surrounds all levels of amateur sports, includ- ing the highly profitable college football. Will fans be able to pack stadiums on campuses across the country this fall? How about a shortened season? Assuming 2020 does crown a college football champion, the odds are already set by Fox Bet to determine which team is most likely to become king. At +2500, Notre Dame is tied with Oklahoma for the seventh- best odds. Unfortunately, for the Fighting Irish to get there they'll have to go through the favorite: Clemson. The Tigers, who are +215 to win the title, make their second ever trip to South Bend Nov. 7. According to the odds, Notre Dame's next two toughest tests are played in enemy territory. Both USC and Wisconsin are +4000. As a regular-season finale, the Fight- ing Irish take on the Trojans at the Coliseum. The contest against the Badgers may technically be a Notre Dame home game, but it is at Lam- beau Field in Green Bay, Wis. Stanford, which is seeking re- venge against Notre Dame after losing two straight contests in the series for the first time in more than a decade, is +10000 to win it all. After that, Duke and Louisville are both at +25000, while Navy and Pittsburgh are not far behind at +35000. College Football Championship Odds For 2020 Season Per Fox Bet Rk. School Odds 1. His 25 double-doubles in points and rebounds in the 31 games he played led the nation, with William & Mary's Nathan Knight second with 22 in his 31 games. Mooney's total also tied the single-season re- cord established by junior Luke Harangody, whose 25 double-doubles came in the 34 games he played during a 21-15 finish in 2008-09. Mooney joined Wake Forest's Tim Duncan (1992-96) and Duke's Sheldon Williams as the lone ACC players to post consecutive seasons with 20 or more double-doubles in the past 25 years. Since 1996-97, Mooney joins Angel Delgado, Jordan Murphy, Emeka Okafor, Josh Hawkinson and Williams as the only major conference players with multiple seasons of 20 or more double- doubles. Here are the most double-dou- bles posted in a season by Notre Dame men's basketball players: JOHN MOONEY Rk. Name (Season) Double-Doubles 1. John Mooney (2019-20) 25 (31 games) 1.
