TRACKING THE PACK
QUOTING THE PACK
"They'll lose point guard Aislinn Konig, who led the
team in assists with 113 and was ACC Tournament
MVP. But the Wolfpack bring back their other four
starters, led by rising junior center ELISSA CUNANE,
who was tops in scoring (16.4 points per game)
and rebounding (9.6 rebounds per game). Rising
seniors Kayla Jones (10.0 PPG, 7.1 RPG) and Kai
Crutchfield (7.5 PPG) and rising sophomore
Jakia Brown-Turner (9.4 PPG) also return.
Brown-Turner and Jada Boyd were two of the
top freshmen in the ACC this past season. NC
State will be adding two HoopGurlz top-100
recruits, wing Dontavia Waggoner and point
guard Genesis Bryant, and overall should
have the depth and talent to compete for
the ACC championship."

Organizations named sophomore
center Elissa Cunane an All-Amer-
ican this year. She was dubbed an
honorable
mention by the Wom-
en's Basketball Coaches Associa-
tion (WBCA), the first Wolfpacker
to
be named a WBCA All-American
since 1998 (Chasity Melvin), and a
third-teamer by the Associated Press
(AP) and U.S. Basketball Writers Association
(USBWA). She's the first in program history to
be named to one of the AP's top three teams
and the first to earn the USBWA honor
since 1991 (Andrea Stinson).
