BLUE & GOLD ILLUSTRATED 2020 FOOTBALL PREVIEW
BY PATRICK ENGEL
N
otre Dame could find itself playing
the No. 1-ranked team in the coun-
try in November. All eyes will rest
on Clemson's trip to Notre Dame
Stadium Nov. 7, but the Fighting Irish face a
schedule with three likely preseason top-25
teams and a slate filled with gifted skill posi-
tion players and pass rushers.
Notre Dame will play against three 1,000-
yard receivers and three 1,000-yard rushers.
Presumed No. 1 overall pick Trevor Law-
rence will lead another high-scoring Clem-
son offense. Two rushers with double-digit
sacks are on the schedule, as well as a few
secondary units stocked with experience.
