Getting out of breaks quicker is always important and I worked on that a lot this summer with my receivers trainer, Terrence Edwards. So I think this is going to be a big year for me. I know what I'm focused on. BWI Do you know any of your li/ing numbers or 40 times? Are there any measurables you can share? You men- tioned you got stronger this summer. Any numbers you can share? STAES I don't track that stu. too close. My last 40 time was around a 4.7. My bench is around 270 [pounds], squat is around 370. We don't max out too much at my school. We focus on explosive stu.. It's more about reps than anything else. BWI To end this, I like to give recruits an opportunity to say something to all the Penn State fans reading this. Any- thing you'd like to say to them? STAES To the Penn State fans, I still have two years until I get there, but the goal as soon as I get there is to be on the -eld early, make plays in front of 107,000 and try to bring Coach Franklin and his sta., as well as all of you, a na- tional championship. Me and the other guys in the 2022 class want to get the number one class in there, then go to work when we get there. We want to keep Penn State where it is, but also get them over the top, winning the Big Ten again and then competing for a national championship. Stay tuned. It's going to be a fun show when we get there. We've got some playmakers already, and we're going to get even more. ■
