First, I would like to say thank you to all of our loyal subscribers for the support you have given Blue White Illustrated over the past 36 years. You have enabled me and my staff to live the dream of provid- ing Nittany Lion fans all over the world with the finest Penn State sports coverage on the market. Due to the coronavirus outbreak, we have been forced to change our print schedule leading up to the football season. Our Penn State football preview magazine typically mails in early July, but because of the uncertainty sur- rounding the sea- son, we opted instead to publish in August. That uncer- tainty continued for weeks, finally end- ing when the Big Ten announced that it was planning to begin an abbrevi- ated season in late October. Our goal is to provide as much in-season coverage as possible. Now that the season is about to get under way, we are adjusting our print schedule to account for these unusual circumstances, while also getting ready to send out our customary pre- and postgame newsletters. In addition to preparing for the upcoming season, Penn State has been busy on the recruiting trail. We have been working to provide timely up- dates, via our print magazine and online newsletters, detailing what the Nittany Lions have been doing on that front. We are also planning a number of historical features, as well as more profiles of Penn State players and coaches as they fig- ure out ways to navi- gate the ever-changing terrain of the current college sports land- scape.
