he season's ;rst practice was only
three hours away when the Penn
State men's soccer team learned that the
Big Ten had called o< all fall sports due to
the COVID-19 pandemic. Coach Je<
Cook and his players had known all along
that their season was in jeopardy, but
when the postponement went from an
abstraction to a reality in early August, it
was a sobering mo-
ment for the Nittany
Lions.
"I wouldn't say that
we were shocked,"
