56 THE WOLVERINE NOVEMBER 2020   MICHIGAN IN THE PROS Seahawks: Received playing time in all five of the 5-0 Seahawks' contests (no starts), and compiled six tackles, one tackle for loss, half a sack and a forced safety in Seattle's win over Dallas Sept. 27. • Patrick Omameh (2008-12), OL, Las Vegas Raiders: Promoted to the 3-2 Raiders' active roster Sept. 23 af- ter the club signed him as a free agent Sept. 19, but has not yet appeared in a game this season. • Michael Onwenu (2016-19), OL, New England Patriots: Started all four of the 2-2 Patriots' outings — two on the right side as an extra tackle, one at left guard and one at right guard … Was Pro Football Focus' top-graded rookie through five weeks. • Donovan Peoples-Jones (2017-19), WR, Cleveland Browns: Received time in two games (one start) for 4-1Cleve- land, and has averaged 21.5 yards on eight kick returns and nine yards on two punt returns. • Jabrill Peppers (2014-16), S, New York Giants: Started three of four contests (missed one with a low ankle sprain) for the 0-5 Giants, and recorded 15 tackles, one tackle for loss, one pass defended and a 12.5-yard average on four punt returns. • Cesar Ruiz (2017-19), OL, New Or- leans Saints: Appeared in four of 3-2 New Orleans' first five contests at right guard (missed the season opener with an ankle injury), having started once. • Jon Runyan (2015-19), OL, Green Bay Packers: Has seen playing time in all four of the 4-0 Packers' games, though he's only appeared on offense in two of them. • Michael Schofield (2009-13), OG, Carolina Panthers: Played in three of the 3-2 Panthers' five contests, starting the first two games at left guard be- fore getting benched prior to the club's Sept. 27 outing against the Chargers and taking on a backup role ever since. • Josh Uche (2016-19), LB, New Eng- land Patriots: Placed on the 2-2 Patriots' injured reserve list Sept. 26 with an ankle injury and has not yet played in 2020. • Brandon Watson (2014-18), CB, Jacksonville Jaguars: Received playing time in all five of the 1-4 Jaguars' games (no starts) and registered four tackles. • Jarrod Wilson (2012-15), S, Jackson- ville Jaguars: Started each of the two tilts he has competed in (missed three with a hamstring injury), tallying seven tackles, one pass defended and an interception. • Chase Winovich (2014-18), DE, New England Patriots: Earned the starting nod in all four of 2-2 New England's con- tests, and totaled 14 tackles, three tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks and one forced fumble. • Chris Wormley (2012-16), DL, Pitts- burgh Steelers: Played in all four of 4-0 Pittsburgh's games off the bench and made two tackles. • Wolverines who have not played yet but are on practice squads: WR Amara Darboh (2012-16), Pittsburgh Steelers; DT Ryan Glasgow (2012-16), Houston Texans; CB Lavert Hill (2016- 19), Kansas City Chiefs; OL Erik Magnu- son (2012-16), Las Vegas Raiders; and QB Jake Rudock (2015), Miami Dolphins. • Wolverines who opted out of the 2020 season: WR Devin Funchess (2012-14), Green Bay Packers. ❑ Through the first five weeks of the NFL season, Patriots offensive lineman Michael Onwenu had started all four of his team's contests and was Pro Football Focus' top-graded rookie. PHOTO BY DAVID SILVERMAN/COURTESY NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS Jake Cronenworth • MLB The San Diego Padres utility man cranked a 407-foot solo home run in his club's 4-0 postseason win over the St. Louis Cardinals Oct. 2, in what was a three-hit night for the St. Clair, Mich., native. Cronenworth became the first Padres rookie ever to homer in the playoffs, with his performance helping lead San Diego to its first postseason series victory since 1998. After a stellar debut, he's a top rookie of the year candidate. Duncan Robinson • NBA The Miami Heat guard poured in 26 points on 7-of-13 shooting from three-point range in the team's 111-108 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers in game five of the NBA Finals Oct. 9. The outing marked the fourth time this season Robinson scored at least 26 points in a game and the eighth time he drilled at least seven threes. Jarrod Wilson • NFL The Jacksonville Jaguars safety made a triumphant return to game action Oct. 11, piling up three tackles and intercepting Texans quar- terback Deshaun Watson before running it back 48 yards to Houston's 26-yard line.
