a more pronounced role with the re-
ceivers.
"Cam is probably one of the smarter
football players in our room, to be honest
with you," Dotson said. "Every play, he
knows what he's doing. But he also knows
what coverage he's going against or what
the guy in front of him, what the guy in-
side of him, what the guy outside of him,
is doing."
A second beneficial side effect is that
Sullivan-Brown has developed into more
of a team leader over the past year. By his
own admission, it's not a role that comes
naturally to him, but while sitting out
during the final three months of the 2019
season, he wanted to "be a crutch" to his
teammates, and so he worked at it.
Now, with Hamler's exit having de-
prived
the receiver corps of its primary
pass catcher the past two seasons, Sulli-
van-Brown is the longest-tenured schol-
arship receiver in the room. So even
though he went into the season with lim-
ited on-field experience, he has consis-
tently looked for ways to make an impact
on his younger teammates.
Those efforts have not gone unnoticed.
"Cam is just like me," Dotson said.
"He's kind of like a soft-spoken guy, and
he leads with his actions. But recently,
he's been very communicative to not only
me but the group as a whole. He's just
being a leader for the young guys in the
room, and even a leader for me. I'm con-
sidered an old guy in the room, but I still
have things to learn, and he's older than
me, so he's been a very good leader for us,
and
I just can't wait to play alongside
him."
Sullivan-Brown impressed teammates
with his work ethic throughout the set-
backs of the past year, and now he has his
sights set on becoming the player he was
poised to be before the injury, if not better.
Excited by the potential he sees in the new
offense that has been implemented by
first-year coordinator Kirk Ciarrocca, and
by the return of a mature, experienced
quarterback in Sean Clifford, Sullivan-
Brown has lofty goals and expectations.
"I'm planning to make plays," he said.
"The way Ciarrocca's offense is set up is
explosive. And I just have the opportunity
to step in there and catch the ball and
make plays, score touchdowns, and hope-
fully push us to that championship."

A?er a few weeks of speculation,
Penn State made it o>cial on Oct. 7,
acknowledging that redshirt freshman
wide receiver John Dunmore was no
longer enrolled at the university.
"John Dunmore has withdrawn
from Penn State this semester for
personal reasons," a team spokesper-
son said.
Sources informed Blue White Illus-
trated that Dunmore had not entered
the NCAA's transfer portal as of mid-
October. James Franklin declined to
elaborate on whether he could still re-
turn to PSU. "We'll just take it one day
at a time," Franklin said.
A former four-star prospect, Dun-
more was a member of the Rivals100
coming out of Chaminade-Madonna
College Prep in Hollywood, Fla., in
2019. The 6-foot-1, 179-pound wide-
