Harris. But that apparently won't be the
case, and his loss was a significant set-
back for a team that had gone into the
season with Big Ten title aspirations.
While head coach James Franklin
didn't explicitly state that Brown won't
be playing football this season, he didn't
give the impression that the redshirt
junior is expected back in action any-
time soon.
"I'm a big believer that Journey's ex-
periences throughout his entire life will
equip him with all the necessary tools to
battle this situation," Franklin said.
"He's had a lot of adversity in his life in a
very short period of time, in terms of his
age and the things that he's been able to
overcome. That's why when we first
started dealing with all this, that was my
conversation with him. I know he's

of relief to defensive backs throughout the conference. But
when league o>cials changed their mind, Bateman did, too.

Big Ten with an average of 93.8 receiving yards per game, and
he averaged a gaudy 20.3 yards per catch.
