ALABAMA DEPTH CHART NOTRE DAME RUNNING GAME VS. ALABAMA RUN DEFENSE Like much of Notre Dame's statistical analysis, the performance in the ACC Championship leaves some debate about the actual quality of this unit. Sophomore Kyren Williams has six 100-yard rush- ing games behind one of the best offensive lines in the country, but he managed only 50 yards on 15 carries against the Tigers last time out. Take away Williams' long run of 24 yards in that game, and the fifth-best back in the ACC (96.5 yards per game) managed only 26 yards on his other 14 car- ries against Clemson. Fifth-year senior quarterback Ian Book, Notre Dame's second-leading rusher, was sacked six times by Clemson and finished with negative-35 rushing yards. As expected, Alabama features one of the best run defenses in the country, allowing only 107.6 yards per game, the 12th-best mark in the country. Led by a balanced front seven that features eight players with at least 40 tackles, Alabama's rush de- fense didn't allow an opponent to gain more than 100 total yards on the ground in its final six games and surrendered only three rushing touchdowns in the last seven contests. Senior linebacker Dylan Moses (68 total tackles, 6.5 for loss) and sophomore linebacker Christian GAME PREVIEW: ALABAMA The Crimson Tide feature one of the deepest front-seven rotations in the country, led by senior line- backer Dylan Moses (68 total tackles, 6.5 for loss).
