APRIL 2021 THE WOLVERINE 5   FROM OUR READERS On the Wolverines having three signees — guard Kobe Bufkin, guard/forward Caleb Houstan and forward Moussa Diabate — selected as McDonald's All- Americans. The last U-M signee to be selected to the prestigious All-Star game was Daniel Horton in 2002 … • I am bummed that game isn't going to be played. Would have been some nice PR this year. BoWoodson • Only school with three, though one of both of Duke/Kentucky will likely end up with three also. grantgro • Three Micky D's boys is insane. That's 1990s-level Michigan recruit- ing right there! RichardMassive • Crazy. Could have had four with Frankie [Collins, a point guard signee] being snubbed. MoneyMitch446 • Getting this class is huge. It al- most assures no huge dip next year and keeps the train rolling, especially if [center Hunter] Dick- inson and [point guard Mike] Smith are back. pickles24 • If we get those guys back, we're almost guaranteed to be the preseason No. 1. We knew Juwan would be able to recruit, could he coach was the question mark. That's been cleared up quickly. Com- bine those two things, you generally win big. djsjr5 • And if you took away all three of our McDonald's All- Americans, we'd still have a top-five class in the conference with Collins, [guard/forward signee Isaiah] Barnes and [for- ward signee Will] Tschetter. hailtoyourvictor On the Wolverines adding Texas Tech graduate transfer quarterback Alan Bowman, who started parts of three seasons for the Red Raiders and threw for 5,260 yards with 33 touchdowns and 17 interceptions … • Makes sense for both sides. He can compete for the job and add depth while also getting a grad degree from Michi- gan. I like it. andrewhfine • I hope everyone wants to compete and make each other better. Just because someone else starts doesn't mean they will finish. We need capable backups. TSbrown01 • Man, that's a good find! It's got to bring confidence to the whole team, especially with the injury bug we've had with our quarter- backs. MShrimp • He may not be an automatic starter, but this guy is a NO JOKE transfer. This guy has thrown for over 5,000 yards and 33 touch- downs at Texas Tech. Even if he never plays a day, he is an expe- rienced veteran. An outstanding addition. BlueMonster • Trading Bowman for [Joe] Milton straight up is a good move. Bow- man's freshman college comple- tion percentage was about 20 points above Milton's senior high school stats while playing against good competition. 911Blue • This team needs experience next season. A lot of top team (including OSU) use transfers at QB. I like it and consider it an upgrade. johnmo On former Wolverine offensive tackle Adam Stenavich, who broke into coaching as a U-M graduate assistant in 2012-13, adding the title of run game coordinator for the Green Bay Packers to his offensive line coaching duties … • He is doing well. Kaiser • Wow. That's a solid rise in the coaching ranks for him. andrewhfine • If the Pack lose both [running backs Aaron] Jones and [Ja- maal] Williams, his new position becomes a precarious way up the coaching ladder. If he succeeds, all the more kudos. Ballgame25 • Good for him! And he is doing it from home as he is a na- tive of Marshfield, Wis., which is just a bit west of Green Bay. Jim__S • I hate the Pack, but glad to see Stenavich doing his thing. He deserves it with the way they've been able to put together that line and keep it strong even with all of the injuries. It's amazing honestly. thacatalyst 60-Day Free Trial, Use Code BLUE60 Michigan led the country with three signees being named McDonald's All-Americans — guard Kobe Bufkin, guard/forward Caleb Houstan and forward Moussa Diabate (pictured).
