MAY/JUNE 2021 ■ 5 ■ WOLFPACK CLUB NEWS Where did you grow up? "I was born and raised in Roanoke, Virginia. I am the oldest of four, and have two brothers and a sister." What is your responsibility at The Wolfpack Club? "All pre- mium seating for football, that includes all club seats and suites, and I also oversee courtside seats for men's basketball. I handle all the sales and marketing for both." What is your favorite part of the job? "Being able to meet many different people from many different backgrounds, and being able to build relationships. I really enjoy that part of the job." What other jobs have you had? "After I graduated from college, I took an internship with the Tampa Bay Rays, the MLB team. I was there for six months. I worked with ticket operations, and I was able to get good insight on how ticket sales and ticket operations worked with the Rays. "From there, I took an internship with the Tampa Bay Lightning, the NHL team, in ticket operations, also. "Then I got my first full-time job at Central Florida in Orlando, Fla., in ticket sales for the athletic department. We did all sports — football, basketball and baseball — for UCF. "Then I had the opportunity to go to the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, where I worked with IMG in ticket sales. We came on board there to oversee the entire ticket sales process for all sports. "I was there for close to four years, and then my wife, Latasia, and I moved to Atlanta. I took a job with a company called Van Wagner Sports & Entertainment. They were overseeing the new SunTrust Park for the Atlanta Braves, which is now called Truist Park. We oversaw the entire process for premium seating for club seats and suites. "We were there for two years. I had an opportunity to stay with the Atlanta Braves organization or go to the Atlanta Hawks, and I decided to take a position here with the Wolfpack Club — four years ago in September. I've been around the sports in- dustry for a while." Family: "Latasia and I have been married for four years now. She works as the associate director of devel- opment at the North Caro- lina Textile Foundation, Wilson College of Textiles at NC State. "I met my wife while I was working at the Univer- sity at Tennessee. She's from Georgetown, Tennessee, went to UT, and was working there at the time. We connected there and have been together ever since." What are your hobbies? "I love to watch sports, and I love to travel. My wife and I do a lot of traveling. "We got married in the Dominican Republic. We've been to Barcelona, Mexico and Jamaica, and have some other ones coming down the line." Favorite TV show: "'The Blacklist.'" Favorite musical artist: "Jay-Z." Favorite restaurant: "Capital Grille." Favorite Wolfpack memory: "Braxton Beverly's game-winner for men's basketball against Clemson." What is something most people don't know about you? "I was a high school prom king, the school's quarterback and won a state championship my senior year for basketball as a shooting guard. I played college football at Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia." ■ WOLFPACK CLUB STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Donnell Priest, Director of Premium Seating & Advertising Wolfpack Club Priority Giving and Ticket Order Deadlines TBA: Baseball Season Ticket Order MAY 1: Football Priority Giving and Football Season Ticket Order TBA: Basketball Priority Giving and Basketball Season Ticket Order TBA: Football Postseason Priority Giving TBA: Football Postseason and Bowl Ticket Order TBA: Annual Donation/ Baseball Priority Giving/ ACC Tournament Priority Giving WWW.THEWOLFPACKER.COM WWW.THEWOLFPACKER.COM WOLFPACK CLUB THIS ISSUE IS SPONSORED BY THIS ISSUE IS SPONSORED BY W H E R E AR E T H E Y N O W ?
