Penn State's new coaching sta= issued
o=ers to a handful of Florida-based
prospects in mid-April, including four-
star Class of 2022 shooting guard
Emanuel Sharp.
Sharp, who stands 6-foot-4 and plays
his high school basketball at Bishop
McLaughlin Catholic in Tampa, said he
felt "really good" about the o=er be-
cause of his relationship with new Penn
State assistant Aki Collins.
"I know him personally," Sharp said.
"So that's a really good plus to the
school, knowing that I have family
there, because he coached for my AAU
team. I've worked out with him before,
and he's o=ered a few of my teammates,
so that's really good."
Collins previously coached with Each
1 Teach 1, a Florida-based AAU pro-
gram, and since his move to Penn State,
he has extended o=ers to a few
prospects who play for that program,
including Sharp, A.J. Brown, Dillon
Mitchell and Camerin James.
Sharp's o=er list is already impressive
as he approaches the summer. Arizona,
Florida, Louisville, Houston, Texas
Tech, Rutgers and Xavier have all ex-
tended scholarship o=ers, as have six
other programs.
"I think the schools that are recruiting
me the hardest would be Houston, Iona,
Louisville, Arizona and obviously Penn
State, they just o=ered me," Sharp said.
