Saka and Wylie are projected to be hybrid players who could play either defensive end or line- backer at the college level. The 6nal weekend, June 25-27, will fea- ture nine of the 10 players who were ver- bally committed to Penn State as of this writing. O7ensive lineman Drew Shelton had to move his o8cial visit up to June 18- 20 due to a family event, but the rest of the class will spend time together that 6nal weekend. In addition to the commit- ted players, the sta7 will also host line- backer Moses Walker of Brooklyn, N.Y., wide receiver Darrius Clemons of Port- land, Ore., running back George Pettaway of Su7olk, Va., and o7ensive lineman Amil Wagner of Huber Heights, Ohio. Walker, Clemons and Pettaway all appear to be realistic options for the Nittany Lions, while Wagner was thought to be leaning toward Ohio State as of late May. Camps and junior days are also going to have a major impact on Penn State's ef- forts in the Class of 2023. Already, a few 2023 prospects such as o7ensive linemen Alex Birchmeier of Ashburn, Va., and An- tonio Tripp of Owings Mills, Md., as well as tight end Mathias Barnwell of Freder- icksburg, Va., have con6rmed that they plan to attend a junior day at Penn State on June 5. Barnwell had been verbally committed to the Nittany Lions before announcing in January that he planned to reopen his recruitment. Players who at- tend that junior day will also participate in either the elite prospect camp later that day or the Whiteout Camp the following day. Franklin and his sta7 will also be able to work out Class of 2022 prospects who make their way to campus for an uno8- cial visit. For example, Camron Miller, a three-star prospect from Fernandina Beach, Fla., will make the trip to Penn State on June 7 to spend a Monday with the sta7. In addition to the normal rou- tine in which players take part during un- o8cial visits, he'll spend about an hour working out with members of the sta7. The regular coaching sta7, graduate as- sistants and student managers can all as- sist during those workouts, but he and others won't be able to work with strength and conditioning coaches. The workouts can also be 6lmed so coaches can watch them later while putting to- gether their evaluations. Following the addition of o7ensive line- man Maleek McNeil of Easthampton, Mass., and safety Tyrece Mills of Lack- awanna College in Scranton, Pa., Penn State's Class of 2022 was seventh in the Rivals Team Rankings. ■ For daily and breaking news updates on Penn State football recruiting, visit bwi.rivals.com.
