Big Man TD! In a 7-7 game with 7:14 to go in the first quarter Oct. 24, Minnesota quarterback Tanner Morgan turned to his right and faked a handoff to his running back. Still looking that way, he geared up to throw, before he was blasted on his blind side by Michigan redshirt sophomore linebacker Michael Barrett, who landed a textbook hit. The ball popped into the air and fell into the hands of Michigan redshirt junior defensive tackle Donovan Jeter, a 6-3, 318-pounder who was able to walk into the end zone for a score to take the lead. 2. Cade Goes Deep To Cornelius Michigan had first-and-10 at the Rutgers 46-yard line with 3:33 to go in the first half, down 17-0 in Piscataway Nov. 21. Redshirt freshman quarterback Cade McNamara gave a play-action fake and dropped back. Sophomore running back Zach Charbonnet, who had just received the fake, saw a disguised cornerback blitz to his left and picked up his man, giving McNamara time to throw. Meanwhile, sophomore wide receiver Cornelius John- son was left alone in the secondary, and he ran under McNamara's beautiful throw that hit him in stride at the 10-yard line and trotted in for six, the Wolverines' first points of the night in a thrilling comeback win. 3. Zach Charbonnet To The House Down 7-0 early at Minnesota, the Maize and Blue began their second possession at their own 30-yard line. Lined up to the left of redshirt sophomore quarterback Joe Milton in the shotgun, Charbonnet took a handoff going right. The seas parted, with the Wolverines' offensive line blocking down to its left, while redshirt junior left guard Chuck Filiaga pulled to his right and got enough of the Gopher inside linebacker to open a huge hole. Charbon- net dashed up the middle of the field for a 70-yard score, the first of seven U-M touchdowns on the night. Redshirt junior defensive tackle Donovan Jeter scored Michigan's lone defensive touchdown of the season in 2020.
