BY THE NUMBERS THE 2020 NFL SEASON 5 Starts for Tennessee Titans left tackle Taylor Lewan in 2020 after a torn ACL caused him to miss the club's final 11 games. It marked just the third time in his career he failed to start at least 12 outings in a season. Lewan began six tilts as a rookie in 2014 and was limited to 12 in 2019 due to a suspen- sion, but started at least 15 games each year from 2015-18. As a comparison, veteran Brandon Graham, who has 59 sacks in his 11 pro seasons, needed four campaigns to reach 11.5, though he was limited to three games in one of those seasons. 6 Of the 10 rookies from Michigan's 2020 NFL Draft class started at least one game — New Orleans Saints right guard CESAR RUIZ (11, including playoffs), Patriots line- backer Josh Uche (one), Washington Football Team line- backer Khaleke Hudson (two), Kansas City Chiefs defensive end Mike Danna (one), Patriots offensive lineman Mike Onwenu (16) and Cleveland Browns receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones (four). 6 Sacks for Chiefs defensive end Frank Clark in 2020, marking the fifth consecutive season he compiled at least six quar- terback takedowns. The only year in which he didn't hit that number was 2015 as a rookie with the Seattle Seahawks, when he posted three. Clark has been one of the most consistent threats off the edge in the NFL, averaging 9.2 sacks over the past five years. 11 NFL seasons is how long it took Philadelphia Eagles defen- sive end Brandon Graham to receive his first-ever Pro Bowl bid. Graham was a rookie in 2010 and had compiled at least 5.5 sacks in a season six different times and as many as 9.5 before (in 2017), but it was never enough to earn him a Pro Bowl nod. His ei ght regu l a r- s ea s o n sacks and 13 tackles for loss in 2020 fi- nally landed him on the roster. 148 ■ THE WOLVERINE 2021 FOOTBALL PREVIEW Former Wolverines With New Teams In 2021 Player 2020 Team 2021 Team C Mason Cole Arizona Cardinals Minnesota Vikings DT Maurice Hurst Las Vegas Raiders San Francisco 49ers PHOTO BY MICHAEL C.
