[ O F F E N S I V E L I N E ] 90 ■ THE WOLVERINE 2021 FOOTBALL PREVIEW PLAYER BIOS POSITION COACH Sherrone Moore is in his fourth season on the Wolverines' coach- ing staff, having served as the team's tight ends coach during his first three seasons in Ann Arbor (2018-20), before being moved to offensive line coach and co-of- fensive coordinator ahead of this coming campaign. Despite not having experience coaching offensive line, Moore knows the position — he played offen- sive guard at Oklahoma. Moore, who was named a top-25 recruiter nation- ally for the 2021 cycle by Rivals.com, saw tight end Nick Eubanks lead his group with 10 receptions for 117 yards and one touchdown last season, while sophomore Erick All registered 12 catches for 82 yards. The position helped pave the way for a U-M run game that notched 4.6 yards per carry and to- taled 12 scores in six games. During Moore's second season mentoring Michi- gan's tight ends in 2019, his group blocked for a run game that averaged 150.7 yards per game. His unit also came up with big plays, registering 10 catches of 20-plus yards as a group. Tight end Sean McKeon posted 13 receptions for 235 yards and two touchdowns, while Eubanks caught 25 passes for 243 yards and four scores. Both were selected as honorable mention All-Big Ten. During Moore's first season mentoring the tight ends, the Wolverines saw an uptick in performance. The crew was led by Zach Gentry, who finished third on the team in receptions and yards, and earned a spot on the All-Big Ten third team before leaving early to become a fifth-round NFL Draft pick. Moore came to U-M after coaching the previous four years at Central Michigan, where he developed a successful group of tight ends that achieved at a high level. In his first year with the Chippewas in 2014, he coached a trio of tight ends that accumu- lated 48 catches for 617 yards and aided a rushing attack that averaged 155.2 yards per game. The next year, Moore's group was led by second- team All-MAC performer Ben McCord. He compiled 39 receptions for 612 yards and five touchdowns, and paced CMU in yards per catch (15.7). He ranked sixth in the country for receiving yards among tight ends and set a single-game school record for the position when he recorded 10 catches against Syracuse. In 2016, Chippewas tight end Tyler Conklin posted 560 receiving yards and six touchdowns. Before bringing his talents to Central Michigan, Moore had a five-year stint at Louisville. He began as a graduate assistant and worked his way up to tight ends coach by his fourth year. In Moore's two years as a full-time assistant, the Cardinals went 23-3 with a BCS bowl and Big East title in 2012. As a player, Moore was a member of the Okla- homa football team from 2006-07. He played in 14 games at offensive guard, while helping the Soon- ers win two Big 12 championships and advance to two BCS bowl games. RETURNING PLAYERS REECE ATTEBERRY • OL Fr. • Aurora, Colo.
