2 8 S E P T E M B E R 2 0 2 1 A busy offseason of comings and goings has changed the config- uration of Penn State's roster leading up to the 2021 season. Talented players have come and gone through the transfer portal, while some Nittany Lions left for the NFL and other pro prospects elected to stay for another season. With so much change to track, BWI ranked the best 25 players on Penn State's roster to paint a picture of where the talent lies on this year's squad. 1. Jahan Dotson — Sr., WR The most productive wide receiver in the Big Ten last season with 884 yards, Dotson returns to lead Penn State's wideout corps for another year. With help from Parker Washington, Dot- son has managed to turn the position group from a major question mark into a strength. If new offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich can get Penn State's pass- ing game moving in the right direction again, Dotson should be in for a truly special year. And if that weren't enough, he should be one of the better punt re- turners in the country, too. 2. Jaquan Brisker — Sr.+, S The dynamic of Penn State's second- ary changed when Brisker announced his intention to return for one more season. He was among the best safeties in the Big Ten in 2020, even though the Nit- tany Lions' defense struggled at times collectively. He was excellent all around but truly excelled as a tackler, earning a 91.8 grade from Pro Football Focus — the best in college football last season. 3. Rasheed Walker — Jr.-R, OL One can find Walker near the top of numerous draft boards rating offensive tackles who will be eligible to enter the NFL in 2022, and with good reason. He was a reliable presence at left tackle for the Nittany Lions last season in his sec- ond year as a starter and will continue protecting Sean Clifford's blind side in 2021 after earning a pass-block grade of 67.9 and a run-block grade of 71.9 in 2020 from PFF.
