Jarrett has been a lineup mainstay throughout his career, starting 142 games in four years. The son of Notre Dame base- ball coach Link Jarrett has elected to come back for a super senior year after the NCAA froze eligibility for baseball players in 2020. Jarrett is a career .248 batter and known for be- ing a strong glove at second. He had a .991 fielding percentage in 55 games last season, all starts. Favorite movie: "'The Sandlot.'" Favorite sport to watch besides baseball: "Foot- ball; my second is a championship round of golf." An athlete you look up to: "[Hall of Fame New York Yankees shortstop] Derek Jeter." Favorite restaurant around campus: "Sushi Nine, they have buy one, get one free sushi rolls, and we go over there and crush it." Favorite memory from being on the baseball team: "Winning that Super Regional in Arkansas and the dogpile celebration, going to Omaha. After that was winning a state title my senior year [at Northern Guilford High in Greensboro]." What you see yourself doing once your playing career is over: "I want to stay in sports … maybe a player development type role, go into coaching or even work in an athletic department." What was the last show that you binged watch? "'Manifest' on Netflix. I highly recommend it." What is the best ballpark you have ever played in on the road? "TD Ameritrade in Omaha, and last year we played in a tournament at the Min- nesota Vikings' stadium [U.S. Bank Stadium]. That was awesome." Favorite place to study or hang out around campus: "DH Hill Library. I study over there and find a way to walk underneath to Chick-fil-a."
