The second completion was a good read on an out-route to the left sideline. With Coan going down with an ankle injury, Notre Dame needed some reassurance from its backup quarter- back that the offense could still operate. That's exactly what Pyne provided. Stats: Wisconsin controlled the quar- ter with 116 total yards to Notre Dame's 32. The Irish lost a net of six yards on the ground in the quarter, while Wisconsin put up 83 yards through the air.
