"I just felt at home at NC State," said Hill, who wants to study criminal justice. "I thought I'd be good at North Carolina, but when I went to State a couple of times, I knew that is where I needed to be at. I was at home." The 6-3, 260-pounder will likely play defensive tackle at NC State. He has been a do-it-all athlete for West Stanly in the past, but a dislocated knee that he suffered in the opening game against Norwood (N.C.) South Stanly High derailed his junior season. Hill was having a big game prior to his injury, rushing 21 times for 113 yards and a touchdown, catching two passes for 18 yards, and recording eight tackles (six solo) and a fumble recovery. Hill returned to play the final two games, piling up 13 tackles on defense and rushing for 81 yards and a score on 34 carries. Vogedes InsuranceAgency, Inc. 403 S. DeMatha Catholic The 6-5, 220-pound Holden was part of the rush of defensive end commitments to come June 24. He chose NC State over fellow finalist Iowa. Boston College, Cincinnati, Duke, Virginia and Wake Forest had also offered Holden, who had originally planned on making his announcement in August. "It was a gut feeling," he stated. "I wanted to wait it out and see if that school was really going to be for me once my football season started, but I kind of knew. Now it feels better — the weight is off my shoulders." Rivals.com rates Holden as a three-star prospect and the No. 27 overall player in Maryland. Defensive lineman Justin Jones Austell (Ga.) South Cobb Jones was the first defensive end to commit June 24. The 6-3, 275-pounder is also the most highly touted of the three. Rivals.com rates Jones as a four-star recruit, the No. 17 player in Georgia, the No. 12 strongside defensive end nationally and the No. 234 overall player in the country. "I'm done now," Jones said. "It's great. I can focus on my season now." Jones was so impressive at the Rivals Camp Series presented by Under Armour stop in Atlanta, despite showing up late, that Rivals named him the top defensive linemen for the entire series of 15 regional camps. 138  ■  the wolfpacker 136-143.FB Commitments.indd 138 7/2/13 9:57 AM
