Football 2013
10. RB Tony Creecy
Creecy, a redshirt junior, battled a nagging turf toe injury much of last season
to rush 127 times for 476 yards and five
touchdowns. He also caught 34 passes for
182 yards and another score.
He proved during the spring game that,
when healthy, he might be State's most
reliable back. In the scrimmage, he led all
rushers with 20 carries for 75 yards.
11. RB Shadrach Thornton
In terms of pure talent, the sophomore
may be State's best chance at a feature
back in the offense. He rushed for more
than 100 yards four times last year and
finished as the Pack's leading rusher with
154 carries for 694 yards and three scores.
He also added 30 catches for 274 yards and
a touchdown.
Thornton, though, also had a fumbling
issue last year, a problem that continued in
the spring game, where he struggled and
rushed for just six yards on 10 carries.

When you have a senior and potential
NFL player on one side of the field like
Johnson, then the other corner should expect to be challenged. Fortunately for State,
Burris proved last year he is up for the
challenge.
