"I just think it's an amazing statis- tic in that so many people can share in it with me," Brady said. "Quarterback doesn't throw and catch. Quarterback can just throw it. It's yards. Passing yards have to be caught, so I just hope that everybody who caught passes from me over the years just had a little smile on their face tonight knowing they con - tributed to a very cool record." Through seven games, Brady was up to 81,479 career yards. In his team's Week 7 win over the Chicago Bears, he threw four touchdown scores, upping his career total to 602 touchdown tosses and becoming the first player to ever surpass the 600-TD landmark.
