C O M P enn State wasn't able to pick up a victory over Michigan on Nov. 13, but James Franklin and his assis- tant coaches should see some wins on the recruiting trail stemming from the recruits who visited that day. Not including verbally committed prospects, Penn State welcomed 18 players who had already earned a schol- arship offer from the coaching staff. It wasn't nearly as deep as the list for the Auburn game a few months back — Penn State hosted 50 uncommitted scholarship players for that game — but it was still the second-deepest list of prospects to attend a game at Beaver Stadium this season. With the class of 2022 all but done, players in the 2023 class made up the majority of the visitor list. There were also a handful of talented players in the 2024 class in attendance, including the top-ranked player in the class in quar- terback Jadyn Davis. A native of Fort Mill, S.C., Davis flew up to Harrisburg with his father early Saturday morning after a playoff game the night before. He said they arrived just as the game kicked off. "It was definitely cool seeing a game up there," Davis said. "It's been a while since I've seen snow, so that was pretty different. But they treated me with great hospitality, and that was the entire fan base, not just the coaches. "We were walking to our seats and had people asking for autographs and things like that. That was a pretty cool experience for me. I loved my time. They have great fans."
