62 THE WOLVERINE JANUARY 2022 BY CLAYTON SAYFIE T ampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady led his team to a thrilling 33-27 overtime win over the Buffalo Bills in Week 14, completing 31 of 46 passes for 363 yards with two touchdowns, and reached two landmarks in the process. His 58-yard game-winning touch- down pass to receiver Breshad Perriman in the extra session marked his 700th career scoring toss when including the regular season and playoffs, further ex- tending his all-time lead on the rest of the field. It also stood as his second- ever overtime touchdown pass. Earlier in the game, Brady passed for- mer star quarterback Drew Brees for having the most completions in NFL history with 7,143 (through 15 weeks, Brady has 7,182 career connections). The victory also furthered his domi- nance over the Bills, his former division rival. His 33 wins over the franchise rep- resent the most by a single player against a single organization in NFL history. He's only lost to Buffalo three times. It wasn't surprising, but in other re- cord-setting feats, Brady was also cho- sen his 15th Pro Bowl in mid-December, breaking a five-way tie with four Hall of Famers for the most all-star game selections ever.
