Since taking over the Penn State program in 2014, Franklin and his staff have landed at least one commit- ment during spring practice. That trend continued this year when the Nittany Lions secured pledges from tight end Andrew Rappleyea, a four-star pros- pect in both the On3 and On3 Consen- sus ratings, and quarterback Marcus Stokes, who has received three stars in both sets of ratings. Those two commitments may have been the most impactful news in recent weeks, but there's much more hap- pening, with Penn State having hosted recruits during each of its first nine spring practice sessions. Between March 23 and April 6, 11 players in the class of 2023 with schol- arship offers made their way to State College. The 2024 and '25 classes com- bined for another 15 scholarship play- ers, so there's been no shortage of tal- ent traveling to Penn State in recent weeks. In the 2023 class, some of the top players who attended spring practice included safety Amare Snowden of Roseville, Mich., wide receiver Justin Brown of Murfreesboro, Tenn., of- fensive lineman Amir Herring of West Spring Visits Giving Nittany Lions' Class A Lift RYA N S N Y D E R | S N Y D E R 4 2 0 8 8 @ G M A I L .
