THE WOLVERINE 2022 FOOTBALL PREVIEW ■ 117 ran for 1,248 yards and 15 touchdowns last season as a true freshman and could be in for a greater workload in 2022. The coaches and media made him a second-team All-Big Ten selection last year. 8. CB Riley Moss, Gr., Iowa Moss could have entered the 2022 NFL Draft but elected to bring his talents back to Iowa City for one last ride. He was the Big Ten Defensive Back of the Year in 2021 and a first-team All-Big Ten selection. 9. CB DJ Turner, Sr., Michigan It is not often that one of the best players on a defense takes half a season to emerge, but that is what happened for Turner and Michigan last year. He started the final eight games at cornerback, picking up 2 interceptions and 9 passes defended. Turner's 83.3 coverage grade on PFF ranked 43rd out of 840 eligible corners. 10. LB Junior Colson, So. Michigan Colson could launch himself into the top five with a huge sophomore leap, and he should be one of the better defenders in the conference on talent alone. He runs the show at inside linebacker now after garnering Freshman All-America honors from the Maxwell Football Club in 2021. Returning All-Big Ten Players From 2021 Offense Pos.
