The 66th annual Atlantic Coast Conference
Academic Honor Roll, recognizing academic
excellence by student-athletes during the
2021–22 academic year, was announced
July 1 by the league.
Virginia placed 465 student-athletes on
the Honor Roll. A total of 51 Cavaliers were
recognized for the fourth time during their
careers and six student-athletes (Kate Coving-
ton/softball, Lauren Hausheer/field hockey,
Beth Lillie/women's golf, Jack Peele/men's
lacrosse, Rachel Robinson/field hockey and
Jordan Willis/men's track and field) received
the honor for the fifth time.
The Honor Roll is comprised of student-ath-
letes who participated in a varsity-level sport
and registered a grade point average of 3.0 or
better for the full academic year. The confer-
ence recognized more than 5,500 student-
athletes for their hard work in the classroom
during the 2021–22 academic year.
During the course of the year, UVA had 127 student-
athletes named to ACC All-Academic teams and two
(Kate Douglass/women's swimming and diving) and
Nicola Lawless/rowing) were named Scholar-Athletes
of the Year for their respective sport. Three Cavaliers
(Owayne Owens/men's track and field, Natasha Sub-
hash/women's tennis and Jake Gelof/baseball) earned
national CoSIDA Academic All-America honors.
