C O M Here's a look at what the group has ac- complished, with each player listed ac- cording to his position when he entered the program and with the star rating he received in the On3 Consensus: Nana Asiedu | OT | Asiedu's career ended before it even be- gan. After arriving at Penn State, he was diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomy- opathy, a heart condition that forced him to medically retire from the game. Judge Culpeper | DE | Culpepper transferred to Toledo for the 2021 season after three years with the Li- ons. He recorded 43 tackles and 3 sacks in 13 games for the Rockets last fall. En- tering his final college campaign, he's a preseason fourth-team All-MAC choice by Athlon. Jahan Dotson | WR | Dotson saved his best season for last. He was a third-team All-American and first-team All-Big Ten pick after making 91 catches for 1,182 yards and 12 touch- downs last year. During his career as a Nittany Lion, he recorded 183 catches for 2,757 yards and 25 scores, and this past April was chosen by the Washington Commanders with the 16th overall pick in the NFL Draft. Bryce Effner | OT | Effner has long been a player who seemed destined for a bigger role. What- ever the reason, it hasn't happened yet. He was sidelined this spring, and it's unclear what the expectations should be for him in 2022. He's played in 23 games so far. Pat Freiermuth | TE | A two-time All-American and team captain, Freiermuth is the only Lion to win the Big Ten Tight End of the Year award. He made 92 catches for 1,185 yards and 16 touchdowns (a school record for a tight end) in his three college seasons. He's now preparing for his second season with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Daniel George | WR | George's career highlight came against Kent State in 2018 when the then-fresh- man caught a 95-yard touchdown pass, setting a record for the longest play from scrimmage in school history. George transferred after the 2021 season and will play this fall at Akron. Trent Gordon | CB | Gordon made 21 tackles in his career before leaving the program three games into the 2020 season. He transferred to Arkansas and made 2 tackles in 8 games last year. He's back with the Razorbacks this fall. Aeneas Hawkins | DT | Hawkins' career was hampered by in- juries. He retired from the sport after the 2021 season and now has a major role with quarterback Sean Clifford's Limitless NIL venture. Isaiah Humphries | S | After the 2018 season, Humphries trans- ferred to Cal. He never recorded a statistic there, however, and entered the transfer portal before the 2022 season. As of early August, he had not found a new home. Charlie Katshir | LB | Injuries have plagued Katshir, but last fall, for the first time in his career, he ap- peared in every game. Playing mostly special teams, he finished with 11 tack- les. Katshir was seen in a sling this past spring but was back on the practice field in August. G R E G P I C K E L | G R E G. The class hasn't necessarily lived up to that lofty spot in the polls, but some of its members have shined, including some who have since gone on to launch promis- ing NFL careers.
