SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER 2022 ■ 7 ■ WOLFPACK CLUB NEWS COMPLIANCE CORNER CAN I HAVE A STUDENT- ATHLETE OR THE TEAM OVER TO MY HOUSE FOR DINNER? Answer: Yes, donors/supporters can provide student-athletes with what is called an "oc- casional meal." There are VERY specific NCAA requirements about this, so contact the com- pliance staff and the coaching staff if you want to do this. WHEN I WATCH A GAME AND SEE A TALENTED HIGH SCHOOL PLAYER WHO I THINK WOULD BE GREAT FOR NC STATE, WHAT SHOULD I DO WITH THIS INFORMATION? Answer: Contact the coaching staff of that sport and pass along the information. You can- not be a recruiter for NC State, which means you cannot be communicating with recruits, but if you occasionally see a player who seems like a great fit for us, then by all means, pass along the information. If you are ever in doubt, contact the compli- ance staff BEFORE doing what you want to do! Thanks for everything you do to keep NC State safe! What college did you graduate from? "NC State in 2013." What is your responsibility at the Wolfpack Club? "I help the fundrais- ers on the back end so they can be on the road. I am the behind-the-scenes help for them to stay organized." What did you do before joining the Wolfpack Club? "Before I was in the Wolfpack Club, I worked in the ticket of- fice for two years. Then I was a Wolfpack Club intern, and then I worked in our membership department before I tran- sitioned into this role." What is your favorite part of the job? "Interacting with donors, because I have such a passion for NC State. I enjoy who I work with, which is really impor- tant to me. "I went to NC State, so I feel like I am being a part of something bigger than myself and giving back to NC State, a place I love." Family: "I have a pug named Dump- lin'. She turned 4 this year." What are your hobbies? "I like to cook and try out new restaurants. I have a food Instagram called @ncfoodfinds. "I enjoy hanging out with friends and family and doing anything around water. Two of my friends and I started in early 2021 a goal to see all the state parks, and we have done 28 of 41. "I just signed up with Rusty Rackets to get back into tennis. I played in high school. And I love playing trivia." Favorite TV show: "'The Sopranos.'" Favorite movie: "'Forrest Gump.'" Favorite musical artist: "Fleetwood Mac." Favorite restaurant: "Players' Retreat in Raleigh and Ceviche's at Wrightsville Beach." Favorite Wolfpack memory: "The year Virginia Tech joined the ACC in football, and we were their first-ever conference game. My family and I went to Blacksburg, and we beat them by one point. That was exciting." What is something most people don't know about you? "I don't know how to ride a bike. Growing up, we didn't have a paved driveway. We just had a yard that was hilly and rocky. That was not the best environment to learn, and now as an adult it's nerve-racking to think about riding a bike, but I do get jealous seeing people ride them at the beach." WOLFPACK CLUB STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Hannah Willoughby, Development Coordinator Willoughby, a 2013 NC State grad, worked in the Wolfpack ticket office and interned with the Wolfpack Club before moving into her current role as development coordinator.
