Of those games — against Ohio State, Maryland and Michigan State — the Stripe Out contest against the Buckeyes at the end of October drew the majority of the visitors. Among the prospects in attendance were four from Mater Dei High in Santa Ana, Calif. Offensive lineman Bran- don Baker, quarterback Elijah Brown, receiver Jack Ressler and running back Jordon Davison all flew across the country for the game. Baker, who stands 6-foot-4, 285 pounds, is the fourth-ranked offensive tackle in the 2024 class according to On3 and holds a four-star rating. Brown, a 6-2, 180-pound quarter- back in the 2024 class with a four-star rating, has offers from many of the na- tion's best schools, including Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Michigan and USC. Penn State extended its offer while he was on campus. But of those players, Davison may be the best. A 2025 prospect, he has many of the same offers as Brown and then some. He also informed Blue White Illustrated that he has strong relation- ships with assistant coach Ja'Juan Se- ider and former Nittany Lion running back Journey Brown. "I was working out with [Brown] in the summer," Davison said. "He's been telling me a lot of good things about the school and the coaches, so I've been trying to build a better relation- ship with them." Davison said he has continued to stay in touch with Brown, Penn State's leading rusher in 2019 before having to give up football ahead of the 2020 sea- son due to a heart condition. "He's a good role model for me be- cause he's been through the process and has also been through their pro- gram," Davison said. "He's been telling me how their pro- gram works and how they do it there. He's also been showing me what you need to do to play early and be success- ful." Another running back, Quinton Martin of Belle Vernon, Pa., was also back in State College for the game against the Buckeyes. Martin is the top-ranked prospect in Pennsylvania for the 2024 class and has admit- ted that the Nittany Lions are off to a strong start. "They talk to me way more than a lot of schools," he said. "They just care. They ask me how I'm doing mentally, how I'm doing physically. They've just shown that they care about me and that they want me there." Four-star wide receiver Keylen Ad- ams was another top 2024 prospect who attended the Ohio State game. The 6-2, 180-pound Virginia Beach, Va., native was in town for the Lasch Bash back in July, making this his second visit to State College. "They told me that if I go there, it's not just me going there but my entire family," he said. "Every time I talk to them, they always ask about my family and make sure they're good.
