Answer: Yes, donors/supporters can provide student-athletes with what is called an "oc- casional meal." There are VERY specific NCAA requirements about this, so contact the com- pliance staff and the coaching staff if you want to do this. WHEN I WATCH A GAME AND SEE A TALENTED HIGH SCHOOL PLAYER WHO I THINK WOULD BE GREAT FOR NC STATE, WHAT SHOULD I DO WITH THIS INFORMATION? Answer: Contact the coaching staff of that sport and pass along the information. You can- not be a recruiter for NC State, which means you cannot be communicating with recruits, but if you occasionally see a player who seems like a great fit for us, then by all means, pass along the information. What college did you graduate from? "I graduated from NC State in 2015." What is your responsibility at the Wolfpack Club? "Every day is a little different for me. I view myself as a Swiss army knife, and I help with many different projects around the Wolfpack Club. My primary responsibilities in- clude managing the Wolfpack Club's digital communications and marketing, which includes our website, email sys- tem, graphic design and social media." What did you do before joining the Wolfpack Club? "I previously worked with the local soccer teams North Carolina FC and the NC Courage as part of their communications staff. Before that, I worked in the NC State Athletics Communications department as a sports information director." How did you get started with the Wolfpack Club? "I was looking to change jobs in 2019, and a social me- dia job opened with the Wolfpack Club. From there, I applied, interviewed and was selected for the job. I held that title for about 1.5 years before adding some additional responsibilities and getting my current title: assistant director of engagement and digital marketing." What is your favorite part of the job? "I've been an NC State fan my en- tire life, and being able to use my talents to support NC State athletics is a bless- ing. I want the best for Wolfpack Na- tion, and that inspires me to work hard." Family: "I'm married to Kortney Neal, and we have a dog named Burley." What are your hobbies? "When I'm not cheering on the Pack, I love all types of fishing. Right now, I'm really into inshore and surf fishing at the coast and bass fishing around the Raleigh area. I also enjoy traveling to new places, gardening and spending time with my friends and family." Favorite TV show: "'Yellowstone.'" Fa v o r i t e m o v i e : " ' T h e D a r k Knight.'" Favorite musical artist: "My cur- rent favorite is Zach Bryan, but I also enjoy Modern Baseball, Joyce Manor and Taking Back Sunday." I've traveled across the country with different NC State teams and seen a lot of incredible victories. The top memo- ries for me include time spent with my family and friends. NC State helps bring us all together." WOLFPACK CLUB STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Daniel Neal, Assistant Director of Engagement and Digital Marketing Neal, with wife Kortney, came to the Wolfpack Club after previously working for NC State Athletics Communications, and also for a pair of soccer teams in the Raleigh area.
