TRACKING THE PACK JANUARY/FEBRUARY 2023 ■ 11 "He's an extremely gifted basketball player who has been developed by one of the top high school and AAU pro- grams in the country. Off the court, he is everything you want in a student- athlete. He does a great job in the class- room and in the community. Dennis will be a great representative of our program and university." Parker averaged 13.0 points, 4.3 re- bounds and 3.3 steals per game for Team Loaded VA during the Adidas 3SSB Cir- cuit. With his senior season at John Marshall underway, Parker is looking to repeat as a Virginia state champion and a first-team Class 2 all-state selection. Coming out of the November sign- ing period, NC State's two-man class ranks 40th nationally according to On3 and sixth in the ACC. Duke is second nationally in On3's team rankings, fol- lowed by North Carolina (10th), Virginia (22nd), Louisville (23rd) and Florida State (33rd). NC State might not be finished with its recruiting for the 2023 cycle. The Pack is pursuing yet another Parker — four-star shooting guard Kris Parker out of Crossroad Academy in Quincy, Fla. The 6-7, 185-pound prospect origi- nally had planned to announce his com- mitment decision on Dec. 12, but he has postponed that date. He has taken offi- cial visits to Alabama and Villanova and has also received offers from Missouri, Illinois, Florida State and DePaul, in ad- dition to NC State and others. While the Wolfpack have continued to recruit the third Parker, the team's primary focus during the spring likely will be on bolstering its roster via the transfer portal. ■ A 6-1 guard from Fayetteville, N.C., Trey Parker averaged 15.0 points and shot 46.2 percent from the floor in his first three games this season with Overtime Elite in Atlanta.
