TRACKING THE PACK JANUARY/FEBRUARY 2023 ■ 17 Casey Morsell Senior guard Casey Morsell is off to a strong start for NC State basketball in the 2022-23 season. Through the first nine games of the season, all of which were starts, Morsell was averaging 14.2 points and 4.6 rebounds per contest, and had made a team-high 26 three-pointers, while shooting an impressive 52.0 percent from beyond the arc. He has also connected on 12 of 14 free throws and has 14 steals, while being one of the Pack's most responsible ball han- dlers, turning the basketball over just 5 times. Those are considerable improvements from a year ago, when the Virginia transfer made his NC State debut. Morsell, who is from Fort Washington, Md., contributed 7.2 points and 3.6 rebounds in 30 games, which included 20 starts.
