A season-ending leg in- jury forced him to miss the last seven games of Penn State's 2021 season and prompted him to return this past fall for one more year at the college level. Mustipher finished his career with 144 tackles and 10.5 sacks. Nick Tarburton | DE Fought through injuries early in his career but went on to start 21 games in his final two seasons. Tarburton had another season of eligibility remaining after total- ing 51 tackles the past two years but opted to pursue a pro career. KEY RETURNEES Kaleb Artis | DT | R-Fr. Appeared in three games as a true freshman and earned the scout team's defensive player of the week award prior to the Maryland game in November. Hakeem Beamon | DT | R-Sr. Earned a first-team role af- ter missing most of the 2021 season for undisclosed reasons. A 12-game starter, Beamon had the third-most snaps among defensive linemen and sec- ond-most among defensive tackles. He finished with 16 tackles, including 6 for loss, and his 18 quarter- back hurries ranked third on the team, per Pro Foot- ball Focus. Pass-Rushing Potential Abounds In 2023 Coming back strong after miss- ing the previous season with an injury, defensive end Adisa Isaac led the Nittany Lions with 11 tackles for loss as a redshirt junior.
