An estimated 24,000-plus fans
showed up at Carter-Finley Stadium on
Feb. 20 to watch a club hockey match
between NC State and North Carolina.
The Icepack won the game dubbed
"Frozen Finley" by a 7-3 margin, cap-
ping a memorable weekend for both
the venue and NC State athletics.
Carter-Finley played host to an NHL
game between the Carolina Hurri-
canes and Washington Capitals on Feb.
18, with a capacity crowd of 56,961
showing up to witness the Stadium
Series spectacle that was nationally
broadcast on ABC.
Meanwhile, the hockey win capped
a four-day stretch in which the NC
State women's basketball, wrestling
and men's basketball teams also took
down rival UNC.
