million of the $15 million renovation proj-
ect has been committed, or 96 percent
of the goal. The final result will make an
already great spring and summer experi-
ence for NC State fans an even better day
at the ballpark.
"It looked beautiful, but this field al-
ways looked beautiful to me," Avent said.
"I love this field. The setting for this field
is unbelievable — the backdrop, the trees,
the dorms in left center field and left field.
… I think it's the best setting in the ACC.
"Now with all the improvements, it's
just that much better." ■
Completed just before the start of the 2023 baseball season, the improvements to Doak Field at Dail Park include a new videoboard and chairback
seating, along with upgraded bullpens and expanded dugouts.
