Sainristil Saves The Day There were moments in Michigan's 45-23 win over Ohio State when the game was much closer than the fi- nal score indicated. A momentum swing in any direction could have occurred. The Wolverines were ahead 31-20 with 7:35 remaining, but the Buckeyes had the ball third- and-4 from the U-M 9-yard line. Ohio State's C.J. Stroud tossed a potential touchdown pass to Cade Stover, but Mike Sainristil sprinted across the field to extend and tip the ball away. This forced the Buckeyes into a field goal attempt to bring the deficit to 31-23 and would be the last points OSU put on the board in The Horseshoe that afternoon. Since Stroud had just completed a 44-yard pass to Emeka Egbuka, this was a key play in securing the first win in Columbus since 2000. 2. The Don Breaks The Buckeyes Michigan landed the knockout blow of the OSU game on its next offensive possession after the Sainristil pass breakup and goal-line stand. It took one offensive play for the momentum to swing completely in the Wolver - ines' direction thanks to a 75-yard touchdown run from Donovan Edwards to extend the lead to 38-23 with 7:23 remaining. Michigan's defense grabbed an interception on the next drive, and Edwards followed three plays later with an 85-yard touchdown run that sealed the deal in U- M's victory over the Buckeyes. Both long runs came courtesy of Olu Oluwatimi and Zak Zinter at center and right guard, respectively, sealing off their men and giving Edwards a wide-open running lane to get through. 3. Corum's Hoosier Houdini Act Michigan's star running back had plenty of potential Heisman moments during a season that would have seen him in New York had he not gotten injured at the end of the campaign. But none sums up how dangerous he became more than his 50-yard run on the first drive of the game at Indiana. Staring at a first down from the U-M 49-yard line, Corum took a carry left that had four Hoosiers ready to stop him right near the line of scrimmage. He found a way to cut underneath them, then make three other defenders miss on a carry down to the 1-yard line. After a review from the officials, Michigan let him finish out the drive with a 1-yard touchdown run to give his squad an early 7-0 lead in Bloomington. TOP 3 INDIVIDUAL PLAYS
