Career Starts NANA ASEIDU OL 0 Aseidu was forced to medically retire before his first preseason camp due to a previously unde- tected genetic heart condition. JUDGE CULPEPPER DT 0 Culpepper played in 22 games over three seasons in State College, finishing with 5.5 tackles and 1 sack after winning scout team defensive player of the year honors in 2018. Following the 2020 season, he transferred to Toledo. He has been a frequent contributor for the Rockets, totaling 87 tackles in two seasons and is back with for his final collegiate campaign in 2023. JAHAN DOTSON WR 38 Dotson's 183 receptions for 2,757 yards and 25 touchdowns rank second, fourth and second all-time for a Penn State receiver, and his 242 receiving yards at Maryland in 2021 stand as a single-game school record. Dotson also set the team's single-season punt-return record by averaging 24.6 yards on 8 attempts in 2020. He's now getting set for his second season with the Washington Commanders after being drafted in the first round in 2022. BRYCE EFFNER OL 7 Effner was a versatile player during his Penn State career and earned honorable mention All-Big Ten honors in 2022 after starting five games at right tackle. He opted not to use his bonus year of eligibility this fall. PAT FREIERMUTH TE 26 Freiermuth is the program's all-time scoring leader among tight ends with 16 touchdowns. He made 92 career receptions for 1,185 yards and at one point caught at least 1 pass in 29 consecutive games, a school record for tight ends. He was the 2020 Big Ten Tight End of the Year and a first- team all-conference selection, and he claimed second-team All-America honors from the American Football Coaches Association. He's now preparing for his third NFL season after being selected in the second round by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2021. DANIEL GEORGE WR 6 George's claim to fame at Penn State is a 95-yard touchdown reception in 2018 that stands as the longest pass play in program history, breaking a record that had stood since 1919. Unfortunately for George and the Lions, that single play ac- counted for 33 percent of his career yardage at PSU. He caught 18 passes for 285 yards in three seasons, after which he transferred to Akron. George fit right in with the Zips, making 67 grabs for 793 yards and 2 touchdowns in 2022, and he is still on their roster this fall. TRENT GORDON CB 0 Gordon played in 17 games at Penn State before leaving for Arkansas ahead of the 2021 season. AENEAS HAWKINS DL 0 Hawkins appeared in two games over three seasons with the Nittany Lions. He retired before the 2022 season and co-founded LimitlessNIL, a name, image and likeness firm, with former team- mate Sean Clifford. ISAIAH HUMPHRIES S 0 Humphries redshirted in 2018 before moving on to Cal, where he saw no game action in three sea- sons. He was at Louisiana-Monroe last year and made 5 stops in three contests during his final college season. CHARLIE KATSHIR LB 0 Katshir struggled with injuries but was an im- portant special teams contributor when healthy. He enjoyed his best season in 2021 when he suited up for all 13 contests and finished with 11 tackles. Odafe "Jayson" Oweh played in only 24 games and started just eight at Penn State, but a slender collegiate resume didn't prevent him from being selected in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens.
