Among the attendees was Rochester (Mich.) Adams standout Brady Pries- korn, who checks in as the No. 8 tight end and No. 85 prospect nationally in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that uses all four major re- cruiting media services. He was last on campus for his official visit on Victors Weekend in June. "The July visit was really cool, even though I didn't get to do the entire weekend," Prieskorn told The Wolver- ine. "On Saturday, I got to hang out with all of the coaches again and be with the commits too. … It was great for all of us to hang out together." Joining Prieskorn was On3 top-100 running back Jordan Marshall, top-100 quarterback Jadyn Davis, On300 offen- sive tackle Blake Frazier, On300 line- backer Jaden Smith and four-star inte- rior offensive lineman Luke Hamilton, among others. "I'm really cool with all of them, and I love them," Prieskorn said. "I was happy to be there with them again. I'm really close with the offensive linemen. All of them are funny and cool to be around." All three of Michigan's in-state com- mits — Prieskorn, On300 defensive back Jacob Oden (Harper Woods High) and On300 linebacker Jeremiah Beas- ley (Belleville High) — were at the BBQ. They were previously together on June 16, but Beasley was uncommitted at the time. He shut down his recruitment less than two weeks later. According to On3, Prieskorn is the No. 1 2024 prospect in Michigan, fol- lowed closely by Oden (No. 4) and Bea- sley (No. 5). "I'm happy [Beasley] committed because we blended really well on the official visit," Prieskorn said. "He's someone I know I will be friends with. Everyone on the official visit got really close with each other. The best in Mich- igan go to Michigan, and that's how it should be. That should be the standard." Prieskorn, who chose the Wolverines on April 25 over Ohio State, Penn State, Alabama, Georgia and other Power Five elites, got more individual moments over the weekend with tight ends coach Grant Newsome, the lead recruiter for the Metro Detroit star. "I was just chilling with him, and that was good," Prieskorn said. "He's a really good coach, is really smart and knows what he's talking about. He knows how to relate to all of the players, too. He just has a good balance of coaching and knowing what the players are going through." Newsome's coaching philosophies were a big reason for Prieskorn ultimately stay- ing home for college. "Everything he does ends up making sense, and we end up understanding it," Prieskorn said. "That's what he's really good at. We haven't gone in-depth about [scheme fit] yet, but I'll be more split out like Colston Loveland." Prieskorn also was able to work out with Michigan strength and conditioning coach Ben Herbert. "When I first got there, Coach Herb made us do pull-ups and push-ups," Prieskorn said. "I just got there without warming up and did it. He's one of the best strength coaches in the country, and I know he'll get me better. The stuff that he's done with the players has been spe- cial." Officially measured at 6-foot-5.5 and 225 pounds, Prieskorn reported to The Wolverine that his weight heading into fall camp is 237 pounds.
