Class Of 2024 Scholarship Offer Master List RECRUITING NOTES • With Notre Dame's 2024 recruiting class nearly complete, the Irish coaching staff has set its sights on the 2025 recruiting cycle. And four-star quarterback Deuce Knight is the program's top target in the class. Knight, the No. 4 quarterback and No. 28 overall player in the country per On3, transferred high schools in August. After two seasons with Lucedale (Miss.) George County, the 6-4½, 180-pounder now plays his high school football at Nashville (Tenn.) Lipscomb Academy. Knight is the No. 2 prospect in Tennessee. Lipscomb Academy also features Notre Dame 2024 four-star cornerback target Kaleb Beasley, a Tennessee commit that the Irish hope to flip from the Vols. Knight's recruitment is also an SEC battle. According to a report from On3's Chad Simmons and Sam Spiegelman, Notre Dame, Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss and Tennessee are the top con- tenders for Knight, who looks to lock in his college decision before the end of his junior season. The school's final regular season game is Oct. 27. Knight last visited Notre Dame on July 27, which was his second trip to campus. He also visited on April 1 and hopes to return for the Ohio State game Sept. 23. • Fighting Irish home games often become big recruiting weekends, and this year's Ohio State game looks to be the biggest. In addition to most of the 2024 class, Blue & Gold Illustrated already expects at least five other targets on campus for Notre Dame's Week 4 clash. By game week, that list could quadruple. Three-star safety Davis Andrews from American Fork (Utah) High is the most notable name expected on campus. The No. 7 prospect in Utah and No. 63 safety in the country per On3 is closing in on a college commitment, and Notre Dame is a finalist. Andrews plans to serve a mission with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which would delay his college enrollment for two years. • Besides Andrews and Beasley, Notre Dame continues to work on five- star defensive tackle Justin Scott from Ohio State as a potential flip candi- date. The best scenario is the Irish hosting On3's No. 2 defensive tackle and No. 5 overall player in the 2024 class for a game day. The 6-4, 315-pound Scott attends Chicago St. Ignatius. A trip to South Bend would be about an hour and a half. — Kyle Kelly The Fighting Irish are still in pursuit of four-star cornerback Kaleb Beasley of Nashville (Tenn.) Lipscomb Academy even though he is currently pledged to Tennessee. PHOTO BY CHAD SIMMONS/COURTESY ON3 Follow @ByKyleKelly on X for daily recruiting updates on BlueandGold.com!
