NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2023 ■ 21 Per NC State's press release, those ex- clusive events include chances to attend team practices that are closed to the pub- lic, an invitation to the Wolfpack Club's annual golf retreat, travel opportunities to road games and more. Donors will also have the chance to spend personal time with Corrigan, learning more about his vision for NC State's athletics department. On top of those perks, Red Wolf Society members will be joining a community of fans who are committed to similar goals, giving them the opportunity to create genuine friendships and business con- nections. "That's one of the other unstated ben- efits," Wolfpack Club executive director Ben Broussard said. "You could be around a group of really amazing people. That is one of the things that I love about Wolf- packers." When the Wolfpack Club staff speaks with potential new members of this ex- clusive society, they will discuss facility upgrades for the golf and baseball pro- grams, along with locker room projects for the softball and gymnastics teams. In addition to facility improvements, donations can be put toward scholarships, and members of the Red Wolf Society also can donate to specific sports or projects. Instead of having separate major gift do- nor groups for sports medicine or weight rooms, everyone is now together in an organization that will help grow a very tight-knit community. Since publicly announcing the project in early October, the Wolfpack Club is al- ready hearing from new donors who want to get involved and contribute. "Wolfpackers are all about helping people," Broussard said. "It's a group of people that help people. If we're having that conversation, I explain to them that they have the opportunity to make a sig- nificant impact in the life of someone that we root for every Saturday or every Tues- day and Thursday." The Red Wolf Society has scheduled its first private event for Friday, Nov. 3 — the night before the NC State football team plays host to Miami. Corrigan has already reached out to the initial members personally, welcom- ing them to an organization that has the chance to make a major impact on Wolf- pack athletics. Foshee, too, is excited about the Red Wolf Society's potential for deepening the connection between NC State and its supporters. "Your giving makes us better," he said. ■ " The reason that people give back is because they want to help. It's not necessarily, 'I want to give this so that I'm able to do this.' They give because they want to make an impact on NC State and make our programs better. They want to buy into the vision that athletics director Boo Corrigan has for our department.
