Class Of 2024 Scholarship Offer Master List RECRUITING NOTES • The Irish picked up a transfer portal commitment from former Florida In- ternational wide receiver Kris Mitchell Dec. 5. Mitchell plans to transfer and play his final college season at Notre Dame as a graduate student. He has one year of collegiate eligibility remaining. Mitchell's decision also impacts the Irish 2024 high school recruiting class. He is the older brother of four-star cor- nerback Jon Mitchell. The younger Mitchell verbally com- mitted to Penn State April 1, one week after unofficially visiting Notre Dame. The Irish offered the Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin product in December 2022. Although Jon has been pledged to the Nittany Lions for eight months, Blue & Gold Illustrated's Mike Singer reported that Notre Dame will push for the 5-11½, 175-pounder. The Irish would love to flip him in their favor. Jon Mitchell is the No. 12 prospect in Florida, and the No. 10 cornerback and No. 83 overall player in America and in the 2024 class, according to On3's rankings. • The Fighting Irish made Baltimore St. Frances Academy junior linebacker CJ Smith's top five schools Dec. 5. The 6-foot, 200-pounder is down to Notre Dame, Alabama, Maryland, Miami and Penn State. Smith is a three-star recruit that On3 ranks as the No. 12 overall prospect in Maryland and the No. 44 linebacker nationally. He reported 12 other Power Five scholarship offers. Louisville, Michigan and Tennessee are among the schools that did not make the cut. The Irish offered Smith after stopping by his high school Feb. 14. They hosted him for an unofficial college recruiting visit April 1 and multiple days beginning Oct. 17. After his most recent visit, Smith hinted the Irish made a move in his recruitment. "They're definitely up there with my top schools," Smith told Blue & Gold Illustrated. "There's a couple aspects that play in with how I feel and how my family feels. I love the school. It's definitely a good football program. It would develop me as a student-athlete." • On Dec. 6, Pearland (Texas) Shadow Creek edge rusher Anthony Wil- liams included Notre Dame among his top 12 schools. The 6-4, 185-pounder is also down to Arkansas, Arizona, Auburn, Baylor, Houston, Kansas, Ne- braska, Oregon, TCU, Texas and Texas Tech. On3 ranks Williams as a three-star recruit, the No. 53 prospect in Texas and the No. 26 edge nationally. The Irish offered Williams May 8. Less than a month later, he visited Notre Dame and participated in the program's Irish Invasion camp. — Kyle Kelly Follow @ByKyleKelly on X for daily recruiting updates on!
