4 THE WOLVERINE ❱ JANUARY 2024 AFTER SEEING OHIO STATE IN PERSON … While I don't necessarily like admitting it, that is an elite, talented, stacked team. We knew their skill players were ridiculous, but their entire de- fense was big, fast, and athletic. The point of this post isn't to give them props, but rather to illustrate just how far Harbaugh has brought our program. In other words, as opposed to them taking a step back so we could catch them, they've remained elite (though not at QB this year) and Michigan has not only caught them but passed them. I cannot overstate how important it is that we retain Coach Harbaugh (and for a long time). Cincinnati_Wolverine It was a great win because of who they beat. That was a tough team. Their leadership is not tough. They're tough, just not as tough as Michigan. WLBergstrom711 I told someone else before the game, Job No. 1 was to win the game. Job No. 2 is to get pen to paper on a new deal for Coach Harbaugh. GoBlue92 Harbaugh is irreplaceable — it's as simple as that. Needs to be the highest priority to retain him. What else must this man do? Nlaws33 I never thought I'd see Michigan beat OSU three years in a row, but to think that we did it when they were 11-0 each year is just crazy. It's not OSU falling off, it's just Michigan overtaking them. The job that Harbaugh and all the coaches and players have done is just so incredible. GDA OSU has a ridiculous amount of talent. This was a GREAT win! BlueSwede94 U-M has only punted one time in the second half in the last three games with OSU. Combined! Dominance. UMRU Can't think of a better example of a program win than yesterday. Head coach is out, linebackers coach fired for decision-making during a kanga- roo court investigation, NCAA interviewing kids for weeks, media coming down on the team, Zak Zinter battling to the point of breaking his leg, having 7 draftable OL to fill in, our best cornerback going down and can't play against Marvin Harrison Jr. down the stretch and the defense stepping up when it counted most anyway. Sherrone Moore did an outstanding job taking the reins down the stretch and managing game day, but make no mistake — this is Jim Harbaugh's program. Next man up mentality, play and coach for each other, not for yourselves. The Team, The Team, The Team. KMacBlue Agree. Think Ben Herbert deserves kudos too. He has instilled such determination and mental toughness in the kids. The work ethic, effort, and discipline is evident.
