Two of those offers came at the same high school. Houston Dekaney High wide receiver Tanook Hines and tight end Nick Townsend added Notre Dame to their offer sheets Dec. 14. He is listed as a four-star talent, the No. 2 recruit in Arizona, and the No. 29 wide receiver and No. 200 overall player in the country by On3. Most Power Five programs on the West Coast have of- fered Vines-Bright. He also has offers from Michigan, Purdue and Wisconsin. • Owen Strebig took the next step in his recruitment Dec. 18. The Waukesha (Wis.) Catholic Memorial standout is rated as the No. 2 pros- pect in Wisconsin, and the No. 11 offensive tackle and No. 110 overall player in America by On3. The 6-7, 295-pounder is also one of the top offensive linemen on Notre Dame's board. Strebig has unofficially visited Notre Dame five times. He will return to South Bend for another visit Jan. 20. The Irish remain the team to beat for Strebig's pledge. • On Dec. 21, Brett Clatterbaugh announced his top five schools. The 2025 three-star linebacker from Culpeper (Va.) Eastern View is down to Notre Dame, Clemson, Georgia, Penn State and Virginia Tech. The 6-2, 240-pound Clatterbaugh visited Notre Dame for the USC game Oct. 14. He also unofficially visited in April.
