FEBRUARY 2024 ❱ THE WOLVERINE 51 ❱ FOOTBALL RECRUITING most no fat on his frame and can easily add 30 pounds. Runs the 40-yard dash in the 4.8s. Could eventually transi- tion to the offensive line thanks to his feet and length. Still very, very raw and learning the intricacies of the game. Will need at least a couple of years to develop. 23. WR CHANNING GOODWIN CHARLOTTE (N.C.) PROVIDENCE DAY On3 Industry Ranking: Mid three- star EJ's Ranking: Mid three-star Scouting Report: Finds himself in the next tier of three-stars, but I wouldn't be surprised if he outplayed his ranking. The Michigan legacy isn't the fastest or most physically impres- sive wideout, but consistently gets open. Extremely reliable with terrific hands and the ability to find soft spots in the defense. Above-average route runner and makes most of his plays on simple routes over the middle. Security blanket that always moved the chains on third downs. Projects as a slot all the way. Underrated athlete that also started at safety. Needs to keep improving speed and explosiveness, and will also need to fill out. 24. OL BEN ROEBUCK LAKEWOOD (OHIO) ST. EDWARD On3 Industry Ranking: Mid three- star EJ's Ranking: Mid three-star Scouting Report: Had a dominant senior season that saw him earn All- America honors. However, there are still question marks about his projection to the next level. An absolute mammoth of a man at 6-foot-7, 340 pounds. Uses his sheer size and strength to completely dominate the opposition. Physical run blocker that will put defenders in the dirt. Difficult to get around in pass protec- tion but can be slow out of his stance and really needs to improve his feet. May transition to guard at the next level, but height could be a hindrance if he does. Needs to cut some bad weight and build up his body the right way. 25. OL LUKE HAMILTON AVON (OHIO) HIGH On3 Industry Ranking: Mid three- star EJ's Ranking: Mid three-star Scouting Report: Is a bit similar to Roebuck but doesn't offer tackle flex- ibility. A straight interior mauler that overpowers his opponents with sheer size and strength. Extremely physical and finishes his blocks well. At 6-foot-4, 290 pounds, already looks like a burly man in the trenches, but he does have the frame to cut some bad weight and rebuild to around 320- 330. Needs to keep working on tech- nique and feet. Looks a bit slow on tape. 26. CB JEREMIAH LOWE LEXINGTON (KY.) FREDERICK DOUGLASS On3 Industry Ranking: Low three- star EJ's Ranking: Low three-star Scouting Report: Lowe flashes the ability to drive and make plays on the ball on film but isn't athletically gifted and lacks technical skill. Needs to be more consistent in his backpedal and can get lost in coverage. Adequate speed. Willing tackler but needs to add weight and strength to a lanky frame. Decent length. May be best suited to play more of a nickel role. Overall, has plenty to work on and will need at least a couple of years to develop physically under Herbert and technically under defensive backs coach Steve Clinkscale. 27. LB ZACH LUDWIG SOUTH PARK (PA.) HIGH On3 Industry Ranking: Low three- star EJ's Ranking: Two-star Scouting Report: Ludwig added some good bulk to his frame as a se- nior but still needs more work in the strength and conditioning program at 6-foot-2, 205 pounds. Physical, tough kid that plays with a chip on his shoul- der but lacks the athleticism and speed to be an impact player at the Power Five level. Has experience long snapping and may end up as a full-time special teamer at Michigan. ❏ 2024 MICHIGAN SIGNEES Player Rating Pos. Ht. Wt.
